Getting a quote

To get a quote the author needs to send me the document in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) by using the contact form.
I study the manuscript in complete confidentiality and I highlight the parts that will be proofread or translated (for an article: title, abstract, key words, main text, legends, declarations and acknowledgements).

Please mention :
  • The deadline: the author should be as transparent as possible on his expectations and on the urgency of the translation/proofreading.
  • Sections to exclude: if the author wishes to exclude some parts or sections of the manuscript, it needs to be specified beforehand and I will reduce the number of words accordingly when establishing the quotation.
  • If a correction of bibliographical references is required: an additional charge will be added (see “Prices”).
I need to be notified of any relevant information, such as possible critiques from editors or reviewers, aspects or sections of the document which more particularly concern the author, information on the journal or the editor to whom the document will be submitted (for instance, it is recommended to specify if they are of English or American nationality, because some linguistic nuances and formalities exist), etc.

After studying the demand, I will send a quotation as soon as possible via email. In addition to my contact information, the quotation will mention the number of words, the price per word, the total amount of the service, the language of translation/proofreading (English), the delay of delivery for the proofreading/translation work and the link leading to the “General Terms of Sale” page of my website. If the quotation is accepted, the author needs to write the mention “Read and approved” and sign the document.
